Pregnancy is an unforgettable experience for a woman. When you get pregnant there are many positive emotions involved. However, there are also some side effects that can make being pregnant rather unpleasant time.

Perhaps the most well-known pregnancy symptom is a morning sickness. However, not all women feel this symptom. If you are one of those women who belong to this batch, then you must be aware of other signs that let you know that you are pregnant.

Here are some additional pregnancy signs that you should be aware of:

Missing a Period

Though this is the most common telltale sign of being pregnant, other things can also cause a missed period. Nevertheless, if you miss a period there’s a good chance that you’re pregnant, especially if you are sexually active.

It’s also important to take note that stress, weight fluctuation, illness or recent use of contraceptive pills can also cause you to a miss period.

One disorder that also causes you to miss several periods is polycystic ovary syndrome. This kind of syndrome causes women to have periods to occur several months apart.

If you suspect that you are pregnant because of missed period, make a pregnancy test. Even though this may be a sign of pregnancy, it is not guaranteed.

Breast Tenderness

Many women experience breast tenderness rather soon after the conception. Along with missed period, sore breasts are a little bit more reliable sign of pregnancy.

Tenderness and growth of breasts during pregnancy is a way for the system to be ready when your baby is born.

Aside from these, many women may also experience extra breast sensitivity and may feel tingling and sharp sensation. This symptom does not very long; it usually disappears about several weeks from its first onset.

Nausea And Vomiting

Nausea and vomiting, along with morning sickness, are probably the most classic symptoms of pregnancy. Many women experience this during early stage of the condition.

For many women this part of pregnancy is what they don’t like the most. Usually women will feel varying degrees of the symptom from a sensation of about to feint to an overcoming need to vomit. The symptom can happen during any time of the day and it usually lasts up to the first trimester.

Tiredness

Women who are pregnant also complain that they feel tired most of the time. Some will even consider it as fatigue. Though this symptom needs to be confirmed as a true sign of pregnancy, constant tiredness can also be caused by other health problems.
