Two Forms Of Bond Between A Mom And Her Child

It is very important for a mother to develop a strong bonding with the child taking into account that this bond or attachment starts when the baby is still in the womb. Two types of attachment are: the secure and insecure.

A child that feels safe and secure, attached to the mother is a good thing because it helps him to later develop a high self esteem and trust. On the other hand, the child who does not bond properly will suffer negative social vibes and child care experts keep advising mothers on this very issue, since it is good for both mother and baby.

You may be asking how this is so. It starts with the time the baby is still in its mother’s womb; and that is the reason why expectant mothers ought to take care of themselves by getting enough sleep and support. The child in the womb actually gets affected when the mother is troubled and unhappy. The end result is that when the baby is born, the child forms an insecure attachment to the mother.

After getting the baby, the mother needs to have some time away from the baby for her to get enough rest because a well rested mother normally feels less stress. It is going to help her to bond well with the baby.

Mothers can bond with the baby throughout the day because there is ample time for them to do that; like during feeding and rest time, which a mother should take advantage of to bond with the child. These are times of utmost important to the development of your infant, and it’s important that you’re there for him or her to see them through the process and strengthen the connection between the two of you. Doing so will help to build a special relationship that endures through the course of your entire life.

Remember this bonding is increased when the mother knows how to respond to the child’s needs in an effective and timely manner. Baby should be fed regularly, not be allowed to go hungry for too long, wet and agitated. If ignored it could lead to negative results for the baby who would grow to become insecure in life.

Good mothers take advantage of their playtime and feeding time to bond with their babies. Mothers get to know the needs of the babies and their feelings by facial expressions and behaviors; meet those needs and form a lasting and loving bond with them.

There are hardly any parents who do not love their babies, so they try to do their best to meet their long and short term needs. This will later lead to firm and permanent loving attachment between them and their children. Isn’t that what every parent wants in life? Of course it is, and there’s no better time to start striving for this than the very beginning of your special child’s life. That is exactly what you’ll be able to do here. Good look through the entire process, and most of all, enjoy this priceless time in their lives.
